Hey, I've looked at some of your uploads, and you seem to be putting the date you uploaded the picture to commons in the "Date" field. The date field is for when the work was created, not when you uploaded the work. See Template:Information#Template_parameters. Thanks. --Skottniss (talk) 07:20, 31 May 2016 (UTC)

update source[edit]
Could you update the direct source if you overwrite a file with new images in the future? That would be helpful for future tracking and source integrity. Such as:

Please do not overwrite files[edit]

- You have been warned before, but you still overwrote File:Francesco del Cossa 016.jpg. Please don't. Multichill (talk) 21:23, 16 January 2021 (UTC)
- Your position is rather strange. I overwrite the files and change the bad ones to the good ones. I do this on purpose so that the articles immediately contain good files, and not bad ones like now. The sources of these files are museums, since all of these paintings are in museums. Isn't that clear? Why are you forbidding me to do this? What rules am I breaking? I'm sure it's best for Wikipedia users.

Hi, in 2011 you uploaded a completely different image of this object, which was rightly quickly reverted. Do you know how to get your image as a new & different file? This would be useful. Johnbod (talk) 04:42, 16 April 2019 (UTC)
Use Of Image[edit]
Hello,
I'm writing from DK, the world's leading illustrated reference publisher and a part of the Penguin Random House group. You can view our books at www.dk.com.
We're currently creating a book titled Great Cities. For a spread on Hampi, we would like to use the image posted by you on wikipedia of Battle of Talikota- https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Battle_of_Talikota_complete_panorama.png.
Could you let us know if we could feature it in our book and if you would be able to provide us with a high-resolution file?
By agreeing to let us use these images we understand we have your consent to use these images in all editions in all forms of Great Cities (including digital products based on Great Cities) in all languages throughout the world.
We look forward to hearing from you and would be happy to answer any queries you might have regarding this request or publication.
- I don't have a file with a higher resolution than this one. You can use it as you like.
Hi. The description of your file says that this detail is of the painted cross in the church of Santa Maria dei Servi in Siena, but it is not. Can you please identify which painted cross this detail is? Thank you very much. Best regards, DenghiùComm (talk) 09:48, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
